Have you ever felt like you’re stretching yourself too thin during the holidays?
We all know that can easily happen. How about merging Thanksgiving and Christmas and still be able to celebrate the best time of the year?
Thanksmas 2020!
In our family and our organization, we’ve been doing this yearly tradition called Thanksmas where we incorporate both of those things into one event. It's a time to really give thanks for all that we have had through the past year and beyond.
And so, we'd love to encourage you to take a little piece of our Thanksmas tradition.
How to Celebrate Thanksmas in Your Organization
Due to COVID restrictions, you can still celebrate Thanksmas this year – virtually. Here are some activities you can do to make your Thanksmas 2020 more fun and exciting:
- Send out Thanksmas boxes to your team (ahead of the celebration) – These could contain some goodies or materials you’re going to be using for your activities.
- Let each one in your team create their own vision board.
- Choose a theme of the year.
Thanksmas is something you could do once a year to create something special for your team that’s going to honor them, give each other some time and space, and essentially use this as a closing ceremony to close down the year and get yourselves ready for when everyone returns from their break.
Think about what you asked for this year and what you got from that. Then think about going into the next year because Thanksmas 2020 lays the foundation for 2021!
