Profit Planners, meet The Bottom Line's newest team member, Michelle.
Welp, we've gone and picked another Leader of the Free World.
And that's cool and all…
But here at The Bottom Line, we are honestly a lot more excited about someone else we've recently picked to join TBL's team.
Corporate Synergy, But For Real
The team working together makes or breaks a day in the life here at The Bottom Line. Ridiculous office-speak aside, corporate synergy is a real thing, at least in our humble Knoxville HQ.
When we invite someone into our family, it's not just because they have the mad skills to rock the work. It's because we see that they are ready to throw in their passion as well as their skill, to commit to growth as well as competency.
[Tweet “When we invite someone into @thebttmline family, it's not just because they have the skills. #Hiring #TheBottomLine”]And that's what we love about the lady whose name you may have been seeing on some of our response emails recently.
It's time you were all formally introduced.
Introducing… Client Advisor Michelle Gunter
Michelle is officially part of the family, y'all. She'll be putting her hands, mind, and heart to work as a Client Advisor. As the newest member of our team, Michelle's single focus and #1 priority is Client Success. (That means you!) Her focus on the finer details of your success will allow Jess and me to stay in our zones of genius. Essentially, we'll all be working within our sweetest spots to support you in learning to pay, play and profit.
Hiring 101
So how did we get lucky enough to find Michelle?
It all started when we received her resume from a friend (don't you just love referrals?) and we saw right away that it checked off all the boxes for the position. In particular, her background demonstrated that she could provide the expert support we needed to ensure my role with our clients as their CPA and/or Virtual CFO would be more strategic.
But I must say the real draw to us with her experience was the fact she was coming from a large public school system managing 15+ bookkeepers. In other words, she’s used to very finite systems and processes. She’s handled large amounts of financial information while balancing team and client care, along with leadership elements.
When we sat down to interview her, we were impressed right away by Michelle's “gentle and quiet spirit.” If you've ever visited The Bottom Line's HQ, you know we’re a loud, fun, bold bunch… but the quiet strength that Michelle emanates through her tone, style and communication felt, well, amazing! She brings a balance to our crazy crew that we didn't even know we needed.
The real “ding-ding” for us in her interview boiled down to two things:
- She attached to our vision and mission of helping online entrepreneurs create the financial systems and plans they needed to boost their bottom line so they can confidently pocket their profits. She really connected with our desire to help more online businesses succeed over fail, to RAISE that statistic by even 1%.
- She said more than once how she loved checklists, worksheets, and that her dream as a little girl was to be an IRS agent, the “friendly” kind. Well, as you can imagine, it was all done from there. SOLD! #YouHadMeAtHello
How You'll Connect
The first time you connect with Michelle, it will probably be her responding to an email that you send to me. Don't worry–it doesn't mean I didn't read it! It just means that I thought your response best fit into Michelle's zone of genius. When it comes to big-picture strategy on the financial + tax side of your life, you'll still hear from me, and when it's about setting up the structure of your profit plan or how to boost those biz operations, you'll hear from Jess.
(See what I mean? We all get to serve you from our sweet spots.)
I trust Michelle's expertise and can’t wait for you to connect with her. You're going to bask in her serenity, benefit from her skills, and walk away feeling like a bright light has shone on you.
Thanks for being here, Michelle. We love ya!
